Kirsten began her yoga journey in 2010. After taking Vinyasa Flow classes, she was introduced to Bhakti yoga at Bhakti Yoga Shala in Santa Monica. Her teacher, Lisa Florine, helped her to nourish her spirituality by encouraging her to chant and study yoga philosophy in a more in depth way, extending her practice into a way of life rather than just a daily hour and fifteen minute practice. After moving to Long Beach, she completed her 200 hour teacher training at Yoga 108. There, she was guided by Molly Madhuri Davidson and Theresa Devi, who’s inspiring teachings gave her the confidence to begin teaching her own style of Kirtan Flow. Kirsten is proud to be teaching at Downey Yoga and hopes to inspire and share what she is continuing to learn, and what so many others have shared with her.
