Juliana Canty has devoted her life towards understanding the expressive and self-healing capabilities of the human body. Driven by a background in classical ballet and a BA in Dance from CSULB, her passion for movement led her towards the philosophy and practice of yoga.
As her practice deepened, she observed an improvement in her quality of life. Yoga allowed her to embrace hardship as a form of personal growth in a healthy and conscious way. She became more mindful of her interactions and relationships with others, and sensed a positive shift in her perspective of the world around her. Eager to share the benefits of yoga with others, Juliana completed her 200hr YTT at Yoga108, under the mentorship of Theresa Devi and Molly “Madhuri” Davidson.
Her classes incorporate a balance between strength and fluidity, with an emphasis on the synchronization of breath and movement. Moments of reflection and meditation help reinforce feelings of self-worth, mind-body connectivity and heightened awareness. Juliana creates a safe, inclusive environment for practitioners to use yoga as a platform for self-exploration, rejuvenation and healing on a physical, emotional and spiritual level.
